Qualifications

By joining our team, you will work across the full lifecycle of highly complex infrastructure projects enabling you to progress your competencies to achieve your APC and become MRICS. As well as this, our structured development programme sees over 86% of our colleagues pass first time compared to an industry average of 51%.

A typical day in this role could involve:

  • Contract/Commercial Management
  • Cost Management
    • Prepare, validate and agreement of interim and final accounts
    • Prepare monthly reports
    • Complete savings report for internal records
  • Risk Management
  • Estimating
  • Contract Change Control
  • Attending / leading Commercial / Contract meetings
  • Comply with Quality Management Systems, processes and procedures.

About You

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • Proven background in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management working on UK Infrastructure Projects.
  • Experience of NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Ideally you will be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline.
  • A passion for infrastructure, sustainability and delivering great work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with colleagues and clients.
  • Good knowledge and experience of both pre and post-contract cost management tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
