Job Description

We are recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our experienced senior management team. You will have autonomy and responsibility for the daily management of your depot.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
  • Delivering outstanding customer service with a motivated team
  • Providing a safe and healthy environment for your teams
  • Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service targets
  • Managing the depot through P&L, effective planning, and reporting
Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in logistics or distribution, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a throughput of 25,000+ daily and over 250 employees
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and liaise with directors
  • Decisive and effective decision-making skills in a pressured environment
  • Ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
  • Problem-solving skills, resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
  • Alignment with DPD's core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
  • Availability to cover any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year
  • Full UK driving license

Remuneration and Benefits:
