Job Description:

Following the recent appointment of a standout Operations Director, our client is one of London's fastest growing M&E contractors and is seeking to hire a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join their growing and vibrant team in the city. They are a well-established company with a history of excellence and growth, evolving from small renovations to handling multi-million-pound projects. The business has increased its turnover from 20 million to 50 million in just two years and has a full order book for this and next year. They primarily work across shell and core, fit-out projects in the commercial, R&D, and Education sectors. They offer excellent staff retention, clear progression routes, and some of the best incentive schemes around.

The Position

The successful candidate will lead the electrical package on a £25m+ M&E project involving laboratories, lecture theatres, and teaching facilities. You will oversee a team of engineers and construction managers handling preconstruction and delivery phases.

Duties will include:

• Tender review and validation
• Design review liaising with consultants, clients, and main contractors
• Procurement of major plant and subcontractors
• Programming of works using MS Project / Asta
• Leading the project from a commercial perspective, overseeing profitability, and reporting financially to the contracts manager
• Chairing internal and external meetings
• Managing commissioning stages and project handover to the client

What we are looking for:

The candidate should have experience working within the Labs, Healthcare, or Office sectors, in a project management role, with longevity in previous employment, and managing large electrical projects to deliver contracts on time and to the client’s satisfaction. An HNC or degree qualification is desirable but not essential.
