We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager with proven experience gained within a construction consultancy setting, specifically with a prior focus on projects within a Defence infrastructure setting, to join us in Scotland where you will be based from our Glasgow office.

As a Senior Cost Manager joining our team, here's what you'll do:

  • Provide effective support, mentoring and line management to Project Surveyors, Graduates and Apprentices.
  • NEC 3/4 contract administration.
  • Leading projects from a Cost Management perspective from inception to completion.
  • Production of cost estimates, cost plans, procurement and tendering advice, through to post-contract delivery of valuations, change control, reporting and final account.
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of projects and managing support teams.
  • Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Be an interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible?

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc - in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • Professional Qualified - Chartered Status with the RICS.
  • NEC 3 /4 experience working with NEC Project Manager.
  • Proven experience in Cost Management providing a full spectrum of deliverables throughout projects.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
  • Experience of project types/sizes/sectors within UK - i.e. Defence, Aviation, Maritime, Healthcare, Higher Education and Mixed Use.
  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender documentation tools shall be essential.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of the work undertaken successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance.
  • This role will also require you to work onsite in Glasgow 3 days per week.
