Job description

Lead Child Protection Practitioner

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to work Full Time based in Redbridge.

The salary for this Lead Child Protection Practitioner job is up to £59,646 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Have an applied understanding of what constitutes a child suffering actual or likely significant harm, considering the severity, duration, and frequency of any abuse.
  2. Know the limits and strengths of their personal expertise and agency remit, working collaboratively with multi-agency practitioners.
  3. Decide what action to take following child protection investigations, ensuring decisions are informed by multi-agency discussions and the voice of the child.
  4. Consider evidence presented at conferences and make judgements about the likelihood of future significant harm.
  5. Share and analyze information in inter-agency conferences regarding the child's developmental needs and the parents' capacity to respond to these needs.
  6. Make decisions on whether the child will be considered for a child protection conference based on a child protection plan.
  7. Ensure a complete and correct record of the discussion and decisions of the child protection conference.
  8. Remain the allocated Lead Child Protection Practitioner for the child and oversee the delivery of the child protection plan.
Requirements:
  1. A social work qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Registered or eligible for registration.
