Swimming Instructor | Quarry House Leisure Centre

Part Time - Weekends and Weekdays

We are looking for a Swimming Teacher to promote our Swimming Lesson brand, deliver engaging swimming lessons to all ages and abilities, and provide exceptional customer service standards.

The primary objectives for the Swimming Teacher are:

• To ensure the successful delivery of the Learn to Swim programme in line with company policy and Swim England Learn to Swim framework.

The day-to-day tasks include:

• Teaching customers of varying ages and abilities according to the Swim England's Learn to Swim framework and completing all necessary administration.
• Maintaining teaching, customer care, and health and safety standards as per company policy.
• Maximizing retention of swimming lesson participants through quality standards, motivation, and customer care.
• Ensuring effective communication with the swim manager, reception, and duty management.
• Handling customer enquiries, feedback, and concerns.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our swimming lessons are based on the Swim England Learn to Swim framework. It is desirable to hold an SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification or equivalent. Candidates with an SEQ Level 1 Assistant Teaching qualification will be considered with training to complete the SEQ Level 2 qualification.

The NRASTC or NPLQ qualification is desirable, but full training will be provided.

The position is subject to a DBS check.

Effective communication with children and adults, ability to build respectful relationships, flexibility in working hours, and a passion for improving our swim programmes are essential qualities.
