As the KS5 Science Coordinator, you will play a vital role in leading the Science department, designing and delivering an engaging and inspiring curriculum, and supporting teachers to deliver outstanding Science education to students.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the Science department and develop a cohesive and progressive KS5 Science curriculum.
2. Provide guidance and support to teachers, fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching culture.
3. Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies.
4. Establish effective partnerships with parents and the wider community to promote Science education.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Science education and incorporate them into the curriculum.
6. Organize and oversee Science-related extracurricular activities and trips to enhance students' learning experience.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Science Education.
2. Proven experience teaching Science at KS5 level.
3. Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and examination requirements.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire a team of educators.
5. A passion for Science education and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
6. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a school environment.
