We have exciting opportunities for registered children's nurses of all levels of experience. You would be joining a friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

We want all our young patients and their families to have a positive experience whilst at our Trust and are looking for some very special staff to join our team. Please note: Appropriate UK NMC Registration is a requirement for this role and international candidates who only holds PRN need not to apply.

Main duties of the job

As a part of our team you will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating the personalised health and wellbeing care needs of patients and families, in line with the Trust's Values & Nursing & Midwifery Professional Framework StandardsWorking with others we have close links with the Emergency Department, Paediatric Assessment Unit, Children's Outpatients Department and Community Paediatric Service. Our ward based team is multi-disciplinary including physios, pharmacist, play specialists, patient experience coordinator and the CAMHS team.

We can offer a preceptorship package for newly qualified staff, induction training and a ward based educator. The trust also offers a package of health and well -being support to all staff. The unit includes a 30 bedded inpatient ward, including 4 high dependency beds. Specialities that we care for include general paediatric medicine and surgery, ENT, max fax, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, neurology and shared care oncology.We are a forward thinking team and have a number of exciting developments planned, we value the voice of staff as well as patients and there will be opportunities for involvement in shaping the future of the unit. Our priority is patient safety and experience and we believe this is achieved by creating a positive experience for staff in the workplace.
