Data Engineering Manager £70,000+ benefits Manchester/Leeds 1 day per week

Robert Walters are delighted to be working with an industry leading business on an exclusive basis. We’re seeking a Data Engineering Manager that can build an engineering capability from the ground up to drive change, implementations and ways of working with a disciplined approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for efficient data collection, processing, and storage.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and ensure a robust data infrastructure.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues in data systems to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Optimise data usage to enhance cost efficiency and resource management.
  • Develop, update, and document data models and schemas.
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and advancements in data engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role with similar duties.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
  • Strong experience and understanding working with cloud platforms, GCP is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent problem solving skills along with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
