OneWelbeck was founded by a group of leading clinicians whose objective is to develop a state-of-the-art private day-case centre in the greater London area. OneWelbeck offers outpatient procedural and day-case intervention work in a unique dedicated setting, including procedures such as Ear, Nose & Throat, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Cryo AF Ablation, Orthopaedic, Gynaecological, and Gastro-Intestinal procedures. Welbeck Health Partners are developing several other day centres across the UK, in addition to the flagship centre at 1 Welbeck Street. Further centres are also planned internationally.
The purpose of this job description is to outline the level of responsibility and accountability of this post. This will ensure that all work undertaken by our staff is clearly identified and carried out under clear lines of accountability.
The post holder will provide a responsive and efficient clinical service to meet the needs of the Business. They will use their reason, intellect, and judgment to work independently on matters on behalf of their Manager/Management Team.
The post holder will be an effective decision-maker, able to prioritize their workload while responding to interruptions, and handle unpredictable work patterns proactively.
We are seeking experienced Paediatric nurses to join the new Paediatric Service at the OneWelbeck Centres. The ideal candidates will be flexible and adaptable, working with Centre teams across different specialties. They will work under the leadership of the Head of Nursing for Paediatrics to deliver high-quality, family-centred care focused on children and young people. Candidates should be focused, motivated, and have excellent time management skills.
The candidate will:
Centre Directors, Divisional Directors, Consultants, Head of Paediatric Nursing, Nursing and Administration Team, MDT, and Allied Health Professionals
Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team, demonstrating listening skills and sensitivity to emotional, physical, and psychological cues.
Assess personal educational needs and ensure practice aligns with current clinical and nursing developments as per NMC requirements.
Contribute to high-quality, cost-effective services through monitoring, audits, and quality initiatives. Participate in change management and ensure safety and safeguarding policies are followed.
Participate in clinical audits, support service development, and ensure practice reflects current evidence and guidance.
Assist in coordinating paediatric clinics, promote interdisciplinary working, and address service deficiencies in collaboration with management.
Implement infection control policies in line with healthcare regulations.
Follow safeguarding policies, remain updated on training, and work with agencies to protect vulnerable children and adults.
Maintain confidentiality of personal data, ensuring lawful processing and safeguarding information as per Data Protection Act and Centre policies.
Contribute to risk management, report hazards, and incidents, and follow policies on PPE and safety regulations.
Support a diverse workforce and adhere to equality policies, promoting non-discriminatory practices.
Take reasonable care of health and safety, report incidents, and comply with relevant legislation and policies.
If required, manage DBS disclosures in accordance with policy.
