London FinOps - Full-time

We're looking for a Finance Associate / Accountant (Graduate) to join our growing FinOps team in London, serving clients in sectors like Tech, SaaS, and e-commerce, mainly in London and South East.

You will work within a pod to deliver all aspects of our Smart Finance Function, focusing on management insight, while studying as an apprentice to become a qualified accountant. The role emphasizes understanding the latest accounting technology and delivering client value.

What you’ll be doing
  • Using cloud accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage One/Live) for accurate record-keeping.
  • Performing bank reconciliations, processing receipts and payments.
  • Preparing VAT returns and payment files for clients.
  • Managing payroll updates and liaising with payroll teams.
  • Completing month-end activities like prepayments, accruals, and journals.
  • Preparing monthly accounts and reports.
  • Supporting finance managers with reporting and closing procedures.
  • Participating in workshops and system implementations.
  • Providing ad hoc support and developing client relationships.
Who we’re looking for
  • Degree of 2:1 or higher, preferably in business, finance, or accounting.
  • Enjoyment in working with different clients and understanding their needs.
  • Strong computer, data, and process skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Proactive questioning to improve quality and processes.
  • Client satisfaction orientation.
  • Drive for progression within flinder.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping or cloud accounting systems is a plus.
