As a Developer, an Engineer – Software Engineering, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.

This position will also be involved in the design of new products or features as well as troubleshooting existing systems. Additionally, this role may involve working with other departments to ensure that all requirements are met before releasing a product into production environment.

What you'll do

1. Develop high-quality software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying system flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following industry standards.
2. Design user interface screens/reports based on customer specifications using appropriate development tools.
3. Create technical documentation such as program code comments and detailed instructions for end users.
4. Participate in unit tests to identify any issues prior to release.
5. Troubleshoot application problems reported by customers.
6. Monitor performance after deployment of an application.
7. Maintain current knowledge about technology trends related to assigned projects.

What you'll bring

1. Extensive system development knowledge with .NET (C#), SQL (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server).
2. Applied knowledge of software engineering best practices and software development methodologies (e.g. XP, Scrum, design patterns, SOLID principles, Test Driven Development, Object Oriented design and implementation, APIs (REST etc.)).
3. Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Spock, pytest, etc.).
4. Experience of working with Message Queuing (e.g. ActiveMQ, Kafka).
5. Experience with configuration and build tools (e.g. Jenkins, Octopus deploy, TeamCity, and GitHub).
6. Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway, and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
