Vacancy Title:Lead Lifeboat Service Technician

Vacancy Location:Findon, Aberdeen (offshore)

The Role:

At Survitec, we're proud to be the global leader in survival technology. We’re currently looking for an experienced Lead Lifeboat Service Technician to join our offshore service team based in Findon. This is more than a job – it’s a chance to build a fulfilling career while playing a critical role in saving lives at sea.

In this dynamic role, you’ll enjoy global travel opportunities while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, working an average of just 17 days per month. We’re seeking someone with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in lifeboat systems, ready to lead and support a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities for the Lead Lifeboat Service Technician role include but are not limited to:

  • Perform inspections, servicing, installation, and emergency repairs of lifeboats and launching systems
  • Represent Survitec in the field, providing expert technical support and customer service
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with the Service Operations Manager on scheduling and manpower planning

About You:

Essential criteria:

  • Proven hands-on experience with lifeboat systems and launching equipment
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience (formal management not required)
  • Technically proficient in at least one service line, with the ability to coach and mentor others
  • Strong planning, troubleshooting, and decision-making capabilities
  • Holds or willing to obtain Rope Access certification
  • Valid UK driving licence
