Job description

Technical Communications Administrator

Our client is seeking a good Administrator who can provide assistance in all activities of the Technical Department. You will provide technical information and support to all internal and external areas of the business, ensure that all records are maintained and that information provided is up-to-date. You will also ensure that you attain the highest level of product knowledge for all company products in order to provide total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review Product Information Sheets and maintain documents in the respective database.
  2. Source updates/modifications and conduct necessary tests to validate changes.
  3. Control the distribution of updates/modifications and review all manuals for accuracy.
  4. Save digital documents in a format for the Product Technical Website.
  5. Create and maintain Product Data Sheets and forward Technical information to relevant Technical Specialists.
  6. Source, review, edit, and configure Technical Documentation for the Product Technical Center Website.
  7. Manage and promote the use of the help desk, monitoring usage and encouraging timely issue resolution.
  8. Provide technical support and maintain the technical database for problems and solutions.
  9. Assist Distributors with inquiries and communicate technical feedback to product suppliers.
  10. Evaluate procedures for arranging Technical Training courses and maintain Training documentation.
  11. Maintain the Axis computer system of product code references and assist with Spare Parts ‘Bills of Materials’.
  12. Implement processes to control stock levels of current and new parts.

Personal Qualities:
Professional and smart appearance, flexible, self-motivated, initiative and enthusiasm, attention to detail. Team player, organized, and good sense of humour.

Skills:
Good communicator, PC Literate, good command of the English language, an understanding and interest in how things work. Document Control Processes IT – Microsoft packages to create Document presentations.

Experience:
2 years experience within a process control or communications environment ideally.
