Job description

Leading Buildings Main Contractor is seeking a hands-on Commercial Manager to sit on a £110 Million Build Project within the Industrial Sector.

You will be based on a Major Industrial Project, within a commutable distance of the Sussex border.

If you are based within Hampshire, Surrey, or Sussex with Main Contractor experience, looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of work, this could be the opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for all contractual, procurement, and surveying aspects for this Major Buildings Project.

You will be sat on a newly awarded £110 Million Industrial Factory. There are another 2 phases which will be awarded/negotiated at a later date.

A brilliant opportunity for someone to join the business and have an impact in developing and mentoring a team, as well as forging a strong relationship with the PD on site.

You will spot opportunities and have the know-how to protect entitlement and be contractual when needed. The priority is that the project needs to make money, as we have worked on this project through the early design phase with the client, so all relationships are in a good place.

This person will have a track record on JCT type contracts in the UK handling £50 Million projects and above, as a No1, whether that be as Managing Surveyor, Lead Surveyor, or Commercial Manager.

Do you match the following criteria?
  • Self-starter with strong communication and management skills
  • Understanding of urgency and change on a Major Project
  • Relevant HND/HNC experience or a Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Track record of making money and producing successful projects
