Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive common solutions, working with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join our Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you'll do:

Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training involves on-the-job learning aimed at achieving an NVQ in Electrical Installations and sector certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

You have an interest in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work through college, diploma, or related experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Motivated and eager to learn through practical and online methods
  • Experience or qualification in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work through fault-finding procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
  • Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
