Job description

Senior Construction Health, Safety and CDM Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Construction Health, Safety and CDM Consultant to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy. The role involves delivering Health, Safety, and CDM services primarily across the Midlands.

Sectors include defence, commercial, residential, retail, and more. You will work with numerous clients across both the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities will include:
  1. Providing CDM advice and support to clients.
  2. Ensuring projects comply with CDM 2015.
  3. Leading risk responses and plans to eliminate risks on projects.
  4. Coordinating and delivering meetings throughout projects.
  5. Visiting project sites.
  6. Leading near-miss and accident investigations as required.
  7. Reviewing Construction Phase Plans.
  8. Preparing and producing Pre-Construction Information.
  9. Leading the delivery of services on live construction sites.
  10. Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.
Qualifications

NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications, ideally progressing to Diploma or Degree level. Principal Designer, CDM accreditation, or other relevant qualifications. Chartered status of a professional construction-related body is preferred. APS Membership.

Experience

Proven track record of providing CDM support and advice. Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015. Demonstrable experience in construction site safety or design. Healthcare sector experience would be beneficial given the project nature.

The company offers a salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 plus pension, healthcare, life assurance, and more.
