Senior Podiatrist/Podiatrist progressing from Band 5 to 6

We are a progressive and welcoming team, offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic podiatrist to grow and develop as a Band 5 or Band 6 podiatrist, depending on experience.

For those at Band 6 level, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to join our Conwy and Denbighshire team. The successful candidate will receive support from our specialist podiatrists and have access to professional development opportunities. There is scope to specialise in areas such as nail surgery, biomechanics, and the management of diabetic and vascular foot ulcers.

Additionally, we offer an innovative pathway for newly qualified podiatrists. Our dynamic team will support the successful candidate in progressing from a Band 5 to a Band 6 podiatrist through a structured development framework. This role provides hands-on experience across all aspects of podiatry, with opportunities to specialise as they advance.

Main duties of the job

• Work as an autonomous practitioner, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including management of your service users.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric care for your caseload, which includes complex medical and clinical needs such as diabetes, chronic neuropathy, chronic disease, rheumatoid arthritis, vascular insufficiency, wound management, and terminally ill patients.
• Provide care in primary and secondary care settings, often working alone without immediate support, relying on self-driven supervision through departmental briefings and peer advice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
