Whitehouse Communications is seeking an experienced and dynamic writer to create compelling and informative news coverage for the launch of a new licensed medicine in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a background in health journalism or medical writing, with the ability to translate complex medical information into compelling stories for a general audience.

Strong research skills and familiarity with UK healthcare regulations are essential. If you're passionate about healthcare communication and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you! Please share details of your experience, success, and rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic PR activity to raise the profile of the new licensed medicine in the UK
  • Secure coverage across national, health trade, and specialist media outlets in the UK.
  • Craft compelling press materials, thought leadership content, and media pitches.
  • Facilitate media briefings, interviews, and feature placements.
  • Align messaging with wider regulatory and public affairs goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in health, life sciences, or pharmaceutical PR — ideally agency-side.
  • Strong media network across national and specialist health/trade press.
  • Exceptional writing and content development skills.
  • Ability to translate complex medical innovation into compelling narratives.
  • Experience supporting or integrating with public affairs campaigns is a plus.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a campaign at the forefront of global healthcare innovation, supporting a new medicine with the potential to transform how chronic pain is treated.
