This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company specializing in Security / Access Control Systems for some of the UK's largest Utility companies. We are looking for an ambitious Trainee Engineer to join our Technology Projects division and contribute to our growth during an exciting phase.

This is a field-based, UK-wide role, so willingness to travel and work away from home is essential.

Role and Responsibilities (Post-Training)

Installation and testing of Electrical Security Power Fence systems, CCTV, and access control at various critical infrastructures including LV/HV/GIS Sub Stations, Power Generating Stations, Waste to Power Plants, Wind Farms, Solar Parks, Telecommunications, Data Centres, Water Industry, and MOD facilities.

Coordinate with clients on-site, liaise with architects and project managers, and ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and on time.

Primary tasks include:

  • Installation, service, and maintenance of Security Power Fence, CCTV, and Access Control systems, including Gallagher systems
  • Supporting other business areas such as PowerFence and Geoquip Technologies

Key electrical skills to demonstrate post-training include:

  • Use of digital voltmeters
  • Electrical Fence, CCTV, & Access Control installation
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Reporting defects and issues
  • Managing van stock and inventory
  • Problem-solving and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrating systems to clients and end-users
  • Training colleagues as needed
  • Arranging PAT/CAT testing and meter calibrations
  • Asset tagging and data registration
  • Proficiency in PC and IT tasks such as data recording and emailing

You will be a vital part of the Cyber/Technology Team, ensuring safe, diligent, and timely project execution.
