Salary: £51,740-£57,486 + Allowances

Our Kemsley CHP Maintenance Team, part of EON UK's Generation B2B section, is looking for a Multi Skilled, EC&I Engineering Technician to support a state-of-the-art New Build CHP plant delivering 24/7 Steam and Electricity to our customer DS Smith.

This role involves undertaking key maintenance activities in accordance with E.ON’s systems and contributing to the maintenance plan through insights and reports.

You will support the Maintenance Coordinator by completing maintenance tasks, primarily electrical and C&I, including fault diagnosis and rectification during unplanned breakdowns to restore plant operation safely and quickly. You will also support planning and coordination of site outages, day-to-day planned maintenance, and manage contracts and contractors.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Scheduling maintenance activities for efficient resource use and maximizing outage opportunities.
  2. Delivering maintenance to meet or exceed KPIs.
  3. Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and company standards.
  4. Analyzing plant issues and providing technical advice.
  5. Managing contracts and contractors, monitoring safety and progress.
  6. Implementing improvements to enhance plant performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • HNC / ONC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in power generation or a similar industry.
  • Experience managing contractors safely and efficiently.
  • Flexible, with the ability to support out-of-hours work.
  • Team player and independent worker.
Preferred:
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate.
Additional Information:

This role includes an 11% Contract Hours Allowance per annum and a South East allowance of £1,266 per annum.
