As a Specialist Care Support Worker, your primary purpose will be to help individuals lead meaningful, independent lives, empowering them to pursue their goals, engage in hobbies, and participate in their local community.

Each person you support will have unique preferences and interests, and your role will be to facilitate their personal growth and well-being. Whether it's helping someone enjoy their favorite films, assisting with hobbies, or supporting them in their daily activities, your involvement will make a difference in their life.

Night shifts are available between Monday and Sunday, from 8 PM to 8 AM.

If you are passionate about making a positive impact in someone's life and helping them achieve their goals, we’d love to hear from you!

About You:

You’re an experienced, empathetic, and resilient support worker, dedicated to helping individuals with additional needs. You understand the challenges some people face, and you are confident in providing the right support in potentially difficult situations. You’re compassionate, observant, and patient, with a strong ability to monitor changes in mood and implement techniques to calm and de-escalate.

Ideally, you have experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including autism and other developmental or health challenges. You communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable individuals and their families, always adopting a person-centred approach.

About the Role:

As a member of our Specialist Care Support Team, you will make a positive difference in an individual’s life, helping them to meet their social, physical, and emotional needs. You will support them in their daily routines, encourage them to pursue their passions, and ensure they are able to be part of the local community. This will be achieved through a professional, positive, and person-centred approach in line with the values of SCA Care.

No two days are the same and you may:

  • Assist individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments.
  • Support customers to engage in their favourite activities, whether that be cooking, arts, gaming, music, dancing, or social outings.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being, ensuring that each person is empowered to live a fulfilling life.
  • Help customers achieve their personal goals and aspirations, participating in social, emotional, and cultural activities in a person-centred way.
  • Be comfortable working in environments where pets, such as dogs, are present.

A full detailed job description is available upon request and will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
