We're looking for new colleagues to join our amazing #TeamCrudenlea in Stonehaven on a permanent (16-39 hours per week) and relief basis.

The Role

You'll become part of a friendly, fun team supporting individuals with various disabilities and additional support needs to live in their shared home. If you're looking for a job where every day is different, then this is the role for you!

The main focus of your role will be supporting individuals with all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, finances, meal preparation, housework, and personal care.

You will also support individuals with their hobbies and interests, such as going to the cinema, theatre, watching football at Aberdeen FC, getting creative in the kitchen, and engaging in various indoor and outdoor activities.

About You

At Cornerstone, we don't recruit based on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We will pay you for your training and provide all the practical skills needed for success in your new role. We also offer to fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and cover yearly SSSC registration fees.

If you don't live in the Stonehaven area and are not a driver, you should be confident in traveling to our service, considering limited public transport options that fit with our shift patterns.

What You Need to Bring
  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in using computers
  • The ability to cook (baking is a bonus!)
  • Confidence to participate in water activities like swimming
Shift Patterns

Shifts usually fall between 07:30 and 21:30 hours, with sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays rotating. Depending on your contract size, you will work around 2-3 sleepovers per month, with an additional payment of £100.80 per sleepover shift.

Interested? Apply today! We are looking to fill these vacancies promptly and may close the advert early once suitable candidates are found.

Successful candidates will need to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with our Training Academy's support.

Additional Notes

If you've spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding certain countries) in the last 10 years after turning 18, you will need to provide a criminal record certificate as part of pre-employment checks.

If you join us, you'll need to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting work.

Cornerstone values diversity and encourages applications from all community sections. Please note, for this position, being female is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
