Working within the Public Safety business, you will be responsible for defining the policies and standards that guide technology delivery, possessing significant experience in modern, cloud-based technology standards and practices.
As Solution Architect, you are accountable for leading a team of architects and providing architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Policing and National Security applications supporting high volume, mission-critical products and services. There will also be opportunities to oversee ongoing architectural needs within our Control Room application suites.
You'll work closely with Product Managers, Delivery, and Technical Leads to influence and define a technology roadmap that aligns with our commercial and technological goals.
The core aim of this role is to provide technical assurance to ensure successful deployment of NECSWS Public Safety products into clients while protecting our commercial interests.
To succeed, you should be able to mediate between people and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, and understand the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment. Our stakeholder expectations are high, and you'll need to facilitate discussions about high risk and complexity within constrained timescales.

The Solution Architect will manage relationships with customer technical staff, providing support on technical issues such as firewall settings, and will participate in the bid process including technical responses and infrastructure sizing (mainly cloud-based).
This role also involves promoting and leading the architectural vision within the team and across wider business units.
