About the team

Part of Merchant Solutions International (Worldpay), the Small-Medium Business (SMB) International team is focused on delivering payment transformation for its existing and future merchants—aiming to make the process of taking, making, and managing payments easier.

We come from a position of strength in the UK and have a heritage as a scale Payments Leader. We seek to leverage the assets and relationships of Worldpay, the talent within the organization, and the growing demand for digital payments to support merchants in their business aspirations. What you will be doing

Worldpay SMB International aims to expand its distribution footprint by partnering with top bank partners in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Reporting directly to the Head of Commerce, the role holder will lead Worldpay's capability to identify and target suitable bank clients with our merchant services offerings through various channels. They will also play a key role in all insight and data-led initiatives to drive customer engagement and growth.

Key Objectives:

  • Lead collaboration with bank partners to sell Worldpay's merchant acquiring services, guiding data analysts to identify target customers and run effective campaigns.
  • Leverage internal and external data, overseeing communication design, offers, and sales and onboarding channels and journeys.
  • Continuously optimize using statistical and advanced analytics methods to maximize value.
  • Deepen engagement with partner onboarded customers through additional products and services.

What you'll Own

Drive new sales and customer engagement from the partner customer base leveraging data, insights, and business capabilities:

  • Customer Identification and Targeting: Use bank data and Worldpay insights to create segmentation and targeting frameworks to drive sales and revenue, optimizing offers and journeys while balancing company and customer needs.
  • Campaign Development: Create and refine outbound and inbound campaigns to generate leads.
  • Market Analysis: Understand market dynamics and customer needs in the UK and Europe, using research and data trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Customer Lifecycle Management: Understand customer lifetime value, identify sales levers, and employ strategies to optimize prospect targeting and onboarding.
  • Process Controls: Establish and oversee operational models for lead identification, targeting, and fulfillment to ensure effective merchant sales and onboarding.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the creation of new business capabilities, channels, and propositions to support customer growth and increase revenue.

Build effective partnerships with banking partners and Worldpay

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with bank stakeholders to execute customer contact campaigns within legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Brand Enhancement: Leverage the Worldpay brand to gain a competitive edge and become the preferred merchant acquiring service provider for bank clients.

Lead the team

  • Guide data analysts within the bank, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and curiosity.
  • Lead virtual and direct teams, driving engagement, purpose, and fulfillment.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing team, building strong relationships across and outside the organization.

What you bring

  • A graduate degree in Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, Data Engineering and Analytics, Computer Sciences, or similar, with 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging advanced data analytics for strategic decision-making and commercial value creation.
  • Hands-on experience with coding, data manipulation, statistical modeling, and AI methods to achieve business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience managing virtual teams and stakeholders at varying seniority levels.
