Senior Software Triage Engineer - Entertainment, Isleworth

Sky is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer in the RDK Triage Engineering team to support software release cycles on CPE devices using Reference Design Kit (RDK). This role involves ensuring high-quality, timely software releases, troubleshooting issues, and developing operational tools. The position requires collaboration with development, release, and QA teams, and involves working with large-scale data analysis and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing the release quality and lifecycle, including deployment, triage, and mitigation.
2. Monitoring metrics, responding to field issues, and diagnosing problems using Linux and networking protocols.
3. Designing operational tools and DevOps solutions to improve system performance.
4. Utilizing AWS services (S3, Athena, QuickSight) for data analysis.
5. Leading and mentoring team members, and communicating technical insights.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux.
• Experience with log management tools like ELK, Splunk, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience in a senior or lead role, with skills in defect tracking (Jira) and SCM tools (Git).
