The Private Housing Service aims to improve housing standards by working with private tenants, landlords, and homeowners through various interventions to enhance residents' health and wellbeing. The Well Homes Service is part of The Private Housing Team.

Well Homes adopts a proactive and holistic approach to improve housing conditions and the health and wellbeing of residents in privately owned and rented properties. The scheme also supports the Afghan Relocation Project and Homes For Ukraine, assisting families and individuals placed in Thurrock under the Home Office scheme to settle and integrate into their new homes and communities.

This role involves supporting Ukrainian and Afghan guests, helping them navigate their resettlement process, including securing BRP, education, benefits, employment, move-on housing, and community integration, including assistance with form filling. Fluency in Ukrainian or Pashto/Dari is preferred.
