Description of the Job Opportunity: Mensa ICS - Test Team Leader (TTL)

Location: Reading

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and engineering team leadership
• Complete all relevant project documentation
• Perform highly skilled commissioning testing on instrumentation and control apparatus as per procedures
• Conduct commissioning activities on control circuits, VSDs, AHUs, level, flow, temperature, and pressure control devices
• Supervise and execute commissioning procedures for assigned instrument/electrical tasks under guidance
• Read, interpret, and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Analyze work problems and implement corrections to facilitate system completion
• Lead technical and quality requirements on projects
• Ensure adherence to company quality processes and procedures
• Allocate tasks and monitor progress of the commissioning test team
• Establish positive working relationships with supervision and personnel departments
• Follow all safe systems of work
• Support the Project Commissioning Engineer in technical delivery and scope management
• Identify project opportunities and variations
• Assist in managing project risks and issues
• Contribute to project delivery strategy development and planning
• Provide health and safety leadership by example

Function:

The EC&I Test Team Leader (Commissioning) is expected to undertake:

• Site surveys management
• Toolbox talks within the team
• Development of test specifications and testing methodologies
• Development of site work documentation (risk assessments, method statements, test documentation)
• Development of O&M documentation with input from the project team
• Supervision of integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT, installation, and calibration testing if required
• Management of observations, variations, and reworks

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous technical experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control fields
• Experience in the Nuclear Industry
• Experience supervising a team of Electrical/Instrument technicians
