Business Readiness Specialist

Summary of the role

An FCA-regulated life & pensions service provider is seeking a dedicated professional to join as a Business Readiness Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engagement and preparation of the operation (Voice, Back Office, and Complaints) to accept changes and maintain service levels. This role ensures that facts and details are accurate so that project deliverables meet stakeholder, legislative, and standard requirements, enabling positive outcomes for customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Understanding and developing project aims and scope, working as a subject matter expert alongside Business Analysts and Project Managers.
  • Liaising with Coaches and QA to ensure projects meet operational requirements.
  • Designing communication and training materials from an agent perspective to support change adoption.
  • Managing delivery documentation such as Action Logs, Timelines, and Risk Management plans.
  • Representing the voice of the customer and colleagues to ensure changes are made for the right reasons.
  • Designing and managing testing of new systems, processes, and applications to confirm they are fit for purpose.
  • Approving remediation work and customer/scheme correspondence.
  • Assisting in the development of Q&A documents to support event mailings.
  • Ensuring that delivered changes promote good customer outcomes and do not cause harm.

What we're looking for

  • Ideally, a good understanding of our operations and systems.
  • Some knowledge of Project Management or Delivery.
  • Knowledge of Life, Pensions & Investment (LPI) products and FCA regulations.
  • Ideally, experience in change management.
  • Ability to engage with new people and discuss their work effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances.
