Workshop Technician

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our Workshop Surface Solutions team. This position is full-time and will be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a wide range of Archer Surface Solutions equipment including HPUs, Centrifugal Pumps, and Magnoveyor units.
• Assess technical and personal risk during the repair and maintenance process.
• Ensure that all equipment used in support of ARCHER operations is serviceable, fit-for-purpose, compliant with client specifications, and is correctly certified.
• Ensure all equipment is prepared in accordance with maintenance procedures and checklists that are followed correctly.
• Pressure testing of Archer equipment.
• Ensure spares stock is controlled and levels are maintained.
• Assist in planning of equipment allocation and certification.
• Ensure assets are tracked upon arrival and site allocation.
• Lead safety culture with a focus on Archer's five core values in line with other workshop personnel.
• Support other workshop tasks as required.

Candidate Required Qualifications/Skills

• Technical trade training recognized by the industry.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Hydraulic repair and maintenance experience.
• Basic pneumatic repair and maintenance experience.
• Pressure testing experience.
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Good computer skills with basic Word and Excel experience.
• Able to work on own initiative as well as in a team environment.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience in handling magnetic equipment.
• Centrifugal pump maintenance and repair experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
