Hours: 22 hours per week

Holiday: 28 days (pro-rata) including public holidays

Salary: £13.17 per hour rising to £13.71 per hour on achievement of SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 6) qualification in Health & Social Care

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUNFLOWER CARE AT HOME PRACTITIONER

Reporting to the Sunflower Care at Home Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Supporting family members and other professionals to provide excellent holistic, person-centred, palliative care.
  • Supporting Service Users with their physical and emotional needs.
  • Assisting with personal care, toileting, bathing, dressing and meals

To succeed in the role of Care at Home Practitioner you will be:

  • Experienced in providing exceptional, holistic, person-centred care and support.
  • Passionate about helping people.
  • Compassionate, caring, and resilient.
  • Respectful, sensitive and have an empathic approach.
  • An excellent communicator who is comfortable talking to and working with family members and people from different professions.
  • You’ll be great at keeping records, too.
  • Take a pride in what you do.
  • SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this.
  • Full Driving Licence and a vehicle to use.
  • Dedicated and passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives.
