Lead an agile team in designing and delivering front office software solutions for Data, Analytics, and Workflow Automation within the Credit Trading Business. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your leadership skills and advance your career in software engineering management.

As a Software Engineering Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology division, you will lead an agile team focused on improving, designing, and delivering the software elements of the company's innovative technology products securely, stably, and scalably. In this pivotal leadership position, you will supervise the implementation of software solutions, directing the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of diverse components within technical products, applications, or systems. You will mentor and cultivate team members, nurturing their skills and experience to guarantee both team member and team advancement, while propelling the successful delivery of top-tier software solutions.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the development of innovative software solutions to automate corporate bond trading workflows and provide data intelligence services.
2. Collaborate with and contribute to large, cross line of business platforms to enhance the scale of the firm’s technology.
3. Oversee the design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting processes, considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
4. Foster a creative, quick-thinking, and pragmatic team environment with a focus on problem-solving and translating demands into sound technical requirements.
5. Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve complex technical problems.
6. Guide the team in learning and applying system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
7. Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience in people management and talent development.
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages.
• Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Curiosity to learn about financial markets products.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience in building systems using Python.
• Knowledge of corporate bond eTrading.
