About the Role:

We are looking for a Director Platform Operations (all genders) to manage and support our teams.Work closely together with other R&D leaders and contribute todepartment-wide initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and oversee the operations of our platform globally across all products, ensuring the availability and performance of our services 24/7
• Formulate and execute a strategic roadmap, aligning it with the company's overall business objectives
• Establish and enforce operational processes like on-call, migrations, customer escalations and deployments
• Manage and mentor talented teams of software developers, DevOps engineers and SREs, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Establish and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes to deliver robust and scalable solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and skill development
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and establish realistic timelines for upcoming projects
• Enable open feedback and communication culture within the team
• Ensure the personal and professional development of the team membersto help them reach their full potential

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

    • A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject
    • 5+ years in a leadership role in an agile environment
    • 10+years ofprofessional software development experience
    • A hands-on mindset and a strong sense of ownership
    • Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and database design principles, scalable distributed systems, security, and network communication
    • Expertise in cloud-native development technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) and knowledge of atleast one high-level language
    • Background in working with one or more major cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, and/or AWS)
    • Structured and analytical working methods and a good team spirit
    • A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges every day
    • Fluencyin Englishis mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus
