Job Title: Technical Compliance Auditor

Department: Technical & Quality

Location: County Tyrone, Northern Ireland

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Compliance Auditor to join a leading food manufacturing company. This role involves auditing all sites to ensure full compliance with quality procedures, customer standards, and relevant legislative requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with production and operations managers, with a focus on maintaining high standards of compliance across the organization. The role will require extensive travel, including overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and conduct internal and external audits at various sites, ensuring that compliance is maintained with all technical, quality, and legislative standards.
  2. Present audit findings to management and work closely with relevant teams to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.
  3. Review corrective actions and ensure that root cause analysis techniques are applied, and actions are implemented effectively.
  4. Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities for procedural enhancements and communicating recommendations for improvements.
  5. Regularly update senior management on audit progress and any issues that require attention.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. A third-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant technical or quality-related field.
  2. Strong technical experience, particularly within the food manufacturing sector.
  3. Experience with internal auditing and holding an internal auditing qualification.
  4. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, particularly within the red meat industry.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Full driving license and the ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  7. Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as required by the role.
