Responsibilities
- Within Corporate & Investment Banking activities, Global Markets is a fully integrated multi-asset class, multi-product platform focusing on delivering high-quality investment and risk management solutions to asset managers, pension funds, private banks, banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds, and retail network distributors worldwide.
- Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange Derivatives Corporate Sales for Western Europe, part of Global Markets, covers major European corporates for risk advisory using Foreign Exchange Cash and Derivatives, Structured and Hybrid Products, Interest Rate Derivatives, Emerging Local Markets, and Liquidity Management. The team focuses on risk management understanding, advice, and transaction execution for corporate clients.
- The UK desk manages clients based in the UK and the European operations of certain multinationals.
Assist the Interest Rate and FX Derivatives Sales teams:
- Support sales efforts to UK corporate clients by preparing market commentary, marketing materials, and indicative pricing.
- Liaise with front office partners, including Relationship Managers, Debt Capital Markets teams, Structuring, Research, and Trading.
- Coordinate with support functions such as Middle and Back Office, Onboarding, Compliance, and Legal.
You will:
- Prepare market updates and proposals for clients.
- Compile indicative pricing of derivative structures and solutions.
- Conduct market and client research.
- Prepare credit line requests.
- Maintain business data statistics.
- Report client information, deals, and business follow-ups, updating Group databases.
- Assist sales with KYC and account opening processes.
- Help resolve Payment/Confirmation issues.
- Maintain and improve desk spreadsheets.
- Build strong relationships across business lines.
- Provide ad-hoc support to other London-based Corporate Sales desks as needed.
Required Profile
- A degree or equivalent in a Finance-related discipline is advantageous.
- Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to understand complex concepts and perform quick, accurate mental arithmetic.
- Knowledge of coding.
- Attention to detail; ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Analytical skills to process and utilize large data sets.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Decision-making skills for complex, quick judgments.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent English written and verbal skills.
- Work experience in financial services is advantageous.
