MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Working as part of a small team of enterprise architects, govern the strategic architecture across Bank EMEA and the International Securities business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery

1. Define, implement and operate processes and controls to govern the firm’s enterprise architecture.
2. Run the Architecture Review Board (ARB), leveraging SMEs from across the organisation.
3. Work across all technology domains including application, infrastructure (cloud and on-premises), data and security.
4. Develop and maintain architectural assets to support decision making and requests for information including from the regulator.
5. Conduct technical reviews of project designs, BAU changes, and other initiatives that impact the technology architecture.
6. Support development of the technology strategy in collaboration with the Technology Senior Management Team, tracking progress and providing accurate and frequent status updates.
7. Produce regular and relevant MI and metrics, and use them to drive improvements.
8. Monitor industry innovations and trends, and their application to MUFG.
9. Guide and mentor other team members.

1. Ensure all activity fully complies with the appropriate policies, procedures and controls.
2. Strict adherence to change management and privileged production access management processes.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Experience providing architectural solutions in a multi-entity, multi-regional financial services organisation.
2. Experience of working with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
3. Experience of reviewing and challenging cloud based solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS etc).

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies

1. Extensive experience of conducting design reviews.
2. Hands-on experience of architecture modelling and associated tooling (BizzDesign preferred).
3. Knowledge of the applications, services and processes used within a Financial Services organisation.
4. Experience of designing complex technology solutions in a regulated environment.
5. Good understanding of software development practices, and project delivery lifecycles.
6. Expertise in Cloud based tools and technology architecture review.

MUFG Operate a hybrid working policy with 3 days in the office.
