Job Description

We are seeking experienced professionals to work on Heat Network (HN) and broader Distributed Energy (DE) projects. These involve low to zero carbon heat and power networks, including systems like solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand flexibility, and electric vehicle charging integration.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project development (scoping, business case, finance, high-level technical consultancy) for schemes involving heat networks, smart grids, battery storage, and EV integration.

Team Overview

This role is part of our Sustainability Team, which focuses on reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, and providing consultancy to housing, public, and commercial sectors. Our services include:

  • City/regional carbon reduction programs
  • Development of net zero and carbon management strategies
  • Carbon footprinting and GHG reporting
  • Energy savings identification and assessment
  • Implementation of management systems like ISO 50001
Qualifications

We seek talented individuals with expertise in HN and DE projects. Essential skills include:

  • High-quality service delivery and client management
  • Consultancy experience in DE and HN projects
  • Proven track record in delivering DE schemes and meeting KPIs
  • Experience overcoming barriers across project stages (feasibility, commercialization, procurement, delivery)
  • Knowledge of DE technologies and solutions
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Understanding of metering, billing regulations, and government policies on HN
  • Programme management, reporting, and organizational skills
