PLEASE NOTE - This role will start on a part-time basis, with the goal of transitioning to full-time as production needs grow.

Our client is an established UK trade supplier of creative, promotional merchandise that specializes in the manufacture and supply of unique and quality corporate promotional tech products.

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a UV Digital Print Operator to manage and lead print operations.

You will set, proof, and prepare work for digital production print while achieving the highest standards and providing a quality service within set timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work is completed within the designated timeframes and prepare digital print files for all variable production printing.
• Support print production processes when needed.
• Operate all digital production print machinery within the digital print production areas to a high standard.
• Develop a good working knowledge of production printers and RIPs used within the digital print environment.
• Perform data submissions of print files and customer data files via mail merge and FTP applications.
• Maintain and manage image files across production printer RIPs.
• Provide technical and specialist advice to Account Handlers.
• Conduct validation checks throughout print runs and apply effective quality assurance techniques.
• Document processes and exceptions to enable colleagues to cover during holidays.
• Manage stock counts and documentation.
• Log and oversee printer servicing.
• Train staff members.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in digital pre-print.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and VersaWorks.
• Good PC literacy.
• High attention to detail.
• Calm, organized, customer-focused, positive, and flexible.
• Ability to manage fast-paced periods; self-motivated and helpful during quieter times.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Roland range printers.
