Up to £36k negotiable, South Wales based, out of their Cardiff office

Permanent, Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 35-hour week

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will lead, motivate, and develop a team of Assessors to drive performance and quality across all learning programmes, ensuring contract compliance and high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for all learners. You will oversee the company's Internal Quality Assurance and Performance Management processes, ensuring continuous improvement, learner satisfaction, and success rates. Experience with coordinating EQA visits and involvement in inspections is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific

  • Motivate and develop Assessors to ensure positive learner experiences and achievement of KPIs
  • Enhance the quality of delivery across all learning programmes
  • Manage sampling and verification activities to improve learner progression and achievement
  • Ensure all IQA activities meet the needs of learners and exceed standards set by Awarding Organisations, Welsh Government, Estyn, and the client
  • Conduct standardisation meetings to share best practices across sectors
  • Manage delivery models and resources to ensure a consistent approach
  • Embed literacy and numeracy throughout programmes
  • Ensure Assessors incorporate Safeguarding/Prevent, ESDGC, Wales the Language and Culture, Equality & Diversity, and Health & Well-being themes
  • Regularly sample Assessor activities to maintain consistency

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience leading a team of IQAs
  • Experience coordinating EQA visits
  • Active involvement in an Estyn Inspection (desirable to be Welsh speaking, but not essential)
