About Our Client

The client is an innovative and growing biotech company based in the central belt of Scotland, developing novel biosensors for use in diagnostics, biomarker discovery, and biosafety applications.

Job Description

As a Scientist, you will be predominantly lab-based. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing, optimizing, and executing a range of tests to support the development of electrochemical biosensor platforms.
  2. Developing a variety of test methods and assays to deliver robust and reproducible electrochemical measurements relevant to Point of Care and other applications.
  3. Creating and maintaining lab records and all associated quality documentation, ensuring integrity and adherence to GLP standards.
  4. Collaborating within project teams to support R&D efforts and drive product development through various phases.

Note: This is an on-site role.

The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A PhD in Electrochemistry or a related field, or a BSc/MSc with hands-on experience in electrochemical techniques.
  • Experience in developing and executing electrochemical assays.
  • Experience with biosensor development would be advantageous.
  • A dynamic and agile approach, with the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
