Job description

Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)

Location: HM Prison Leicester (LE2 7AJ)

Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)

Shift pattern: 5 hours per week - Friday, 12:30 to 17:30

Salary: £3,492.06 per year

Note: The role is based within a prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.

HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, we manage the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. No two days are the same! You will play an integral role in supporting prisoners' rehabilitation, working with a diverse team.

What does the role entail?
  • Distributing orders on the prison wing accurately and timely to inmates
  • Loading and unloading vehicles upon order arrival
  • Ensuring compliance with prison rules and regulations
What do we need from you?
  • Ability to work in a prison environment alongside inmates
  • Capability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Current UK address history for the past 3 years (mandatory for Enhanced Security Clearance)
