Trade Technician

VANRATH are recruiting a Trade Technician to work on live sites across Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities:
  • Working on live and handed over sites, making and working through snag lists, providing quality control checks, and working with the aftersales team to collate a defect list to remediate any outstanding issues.
  • Ensuring prompt completion of all paperwork.
  • Document identified defects pre and post fix.
  • Review aftercare items and introduce measures to reduce the same cycle of aftercare defects.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with company health and safety procedures.
The Ideal Person:
  • Ability to be solution-focused and use their own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in strategic planning.
  • Willing to travel across different sites.
  • At least 2 years' experience in multi-trade aftercare for housing, ideally experience will be in social housing (multi-trade to include joinery, plastering, plumbing, painting, decorating, tiling, etc.).
  • A professional qualification in a trade e.g., joinery, plumbing, electrician, etc., with 5+ years' experience.
