Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Tameside & Stockport

Pay: Competitive rates (£85 - £95 per day, depending on experience)

Start Date: After Easter 2025

Axcis Education is seeking passionate and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistants (EY TA) to register for upcoming opportunities in local primary schools across Tameside and Stockport. If you have a background in supporting young learners in Reception and Key Stage 1 (KS1), we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:
  1. Supporting children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and KS1, including those with SEND needs such as Autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays.
  2. Providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting with early phonics, numeracy, and social development.
  3. Creating an engaging, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  4. Assisting with classroom activities, play-based learning, and sensory activities.
  5. Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement learning strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Recent experience working as an Early Years Teaching Assistant in a school or nursery setting.
  2. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to working with young children.
  3. Knowledge of EYFS framework, phonics (e.g., Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc.), and early childhood development.
  4. Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties (desirable but not essential).
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Early Years Education, or equivalent) – preferred but not essential.
