Job summary
This is a full time (10 PA) Consultant post working on a 18 bed Rehabilitation Unit in Bracken House and with the City South LMHT. This is a permanent post.
A Golden Hello of 20% of the minimum point of the National Consultant (2003) contract will be paid for this post.
The Trust delivers training as part of the North School of Psychiatry, East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery. The Head of School for Health Education East Midlands is Dr Debasis Das. The Trust's Director of Medical Education is Dr Kehinde Junaid, responsible for the delivery of education to doctors at all levels.

Main duties of the jobThis post will primarily provide daily cover for inpatients on the locked rehab ward at Bracken House. Bracken House is a mental health locked rehabilitation unit for both male and female patients which has 18 beds. The post holder will have 5 PA's for this role.
This being a joint post, it will include input to the city south LMHT team with the predominant focus being on the psychosis pathway. This will involve 2.5 PA's of their clinical time. The post holder responsibilities will include the care of patients on the cluster 16/17 pathway and also other chronic psychosis patients amounting to about 40 to 45 patients. It is hoped that most of the patients will have care coordinators.
It covers the population of Nottingham City including Dales Bridge, Clifton North and Clifton South. The team will be the single point of access for the locality, CPA is fully implemented. The team has a total of six care pathways including:
1) Recovery from Anxiety and Depression (4-7)
2) Support for complex Personality Needs (8)
3) Early Intervention in Psychosis (10)
4) Recovery from Psychosis (11-15)
5) Support and engagement for enduring Psychosis (16-17)
6) Living well with Neurodevelopmental conditions (0)
