The Company

An established fertiliser manufacturing business.

The Job Role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Developer to expand and support our customer base, with a focus on the horticultural sector. Responsibilities include developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on fertiliser and plant nutrition products.

Location

This is a home-based role covering Northern England and Scotland, with travel to customers as required.

Salary Package

£45,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on experience, plus Car or Car Allowance and Bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and develop existing customer accounts using excellent interpersonal skills.
  2. Proactively seek and secure new sales accounts, focusing on the horticultural sector.
  3. Provide technical advice on fertilisers and plant nutrition, and develop your technical knowledge.
  4. Manage the company's social media presence.
  5. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet customer expectations and ensure high customer service levels.
  6. Report to the Sales Manager.
Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of horticultural or agricultural fertiliser practices and an interest in the amenity sector.
  • Sales experience, preferably in fertilisers or related products, is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
  • FACTS qualification or willingness to study towards it.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to undertake domestic travel.
