Job Description

Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $15.00 to $18.00, with potential incentives. Pay depends on experience.

About The Role:

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time, hourly, based on business needs. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance per company standards and manufacturer specifications, delivering exceptional service, and communicating effectively with guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct tire services including removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
  • Perform vehicle services like oil changes, lubrications, bulb and filter replacements, battery testing, and installations.
  • Complete Courtesy Inspections, identify and communicate additional needed services.
  • Assist with inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and readiness.
  • Follow safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles following policies and safety laws.
  • Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

  • Initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
