Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist

Are you a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist wanting to gain experience working with people with additional needs?

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four?

  • Salary: Up to GBP30,000 FTE DOE
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding team within an evidence-based, neuro-affirming environment. You will complete a preceptorship year under supervision, gradually working more independently as competencies are signed off. You will assess and treat individuals, deliver activities in both individual and group settings, and provide training to staff and external agencies.

You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and therapy assistants, to foster an environment where pupils can thrive and develop.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Speech and Language Therapy BSc (Hons)
  • Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical problem-solving skills
  • Experience in assessing young people's needs and developing treatment plans
  • Ability to maintain accurate records per HCPC & RCOT standards
  • Motivated, responsible, reliable, with good organisational skills
  • Proactive and innovative in practice
