Position: Senior/Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Core Flight System)

Responsibilities include:

• Technical project execution
• Developing software throughout the full software development lifecycle, including embedded, desktop, web, and mobile applications
• Applying critical thinking to software engineering, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, design patterns, computer architecture, operating systems, and embedded systems
• Leading team efforts to improve design and maintainability
• Scoping flexible technical solutions and anticipating uncertainties
• Generating requirements, architecture & design documentation, source code, and unit tests
• Participating in risk management processes
• Implementing software in C, C++, and Python
• Using version control systems such as Git
• Participating in design and code reviews
• Testing software implementations
• Completing work breakdowns from specifications
• Managing tasks within estimated timeframes, predicting overruns proactively
• Identifying scope changes and proposing resolutions with project leaders

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of embedded software engineering experience
• 5+ years of satellite flight software development experience
• 3+ years of experience with Core Flight System (cFS) for flight software
• Skills in C, C++, Python, cFS, Linux, and RTOS (VxWorks, RTEMS, or others)

Salary Range: $125K-$160K

Note: The actual salary depends on factors like location, knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, and experience.

Location: Hybrid remote, approximately 2 days/week on-site in Westminster, CO
