Qualified Accountant job for a successful manufacturing company in Warrington

Hays Senior Finance are working with a US-owned manufacturing company with a £40m+ UK turnover. This is a dynamic and growing manufacturing company, part of a larger group with multiple sales channels and divisions across the UK. They have innovative products and a commitment to excellence evidenced by significant R&D investment. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead the team in Warrington.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the preparation of management accounts and financial accounts
  2. Maintain close monitoring of industrial KPIs
  3. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  4. Supervision of cash flow forecasts and debt collection
  5. Manage and develop the finance team of four
  6. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management
  7. Preparation of the annual budget and 3-year plan and regular year end re-forecasting
  8. Act as a business partner to various departments, providing financial guidance and support
  9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
  10. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems

Qualifications:

  1. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  2. Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferable.
  3. Strong knowledge of management accounts, financial accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
  4. Excellent team management and leadership skills
  5. Proficiency in variance analysis and business partnering
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
