A leading company in lifestyle management is seeking a Swim Manager for their TW2 Health and Fitness Club. This part-time role involves overseeing the Learn to Swim programme, managing sales, and ensuring high-quality customer service. This role is ideal for someone motivated by team management, commercial success, and a passion for swimming. The Swim Manager will oversee the commercial aspects, sales, programming, development, and operations of the Learn to Swim programme and all swimming activities within the leisure centre.
The core hours typically align with the swimming lesson schedule, usually 16:00-19:00 midweek and weekend mornings.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of learn-to-swim programmes and the Swim England Learn to Swim framework, with previous team management experience.
Qualifications such as a fully qualified Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
Desirable certifications include NRASTC or NPLQ and First Aid at Work.
You should demonstrate collaboration skills, develop partnerships, and work effectively within a results-driven team environment.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in the aquatic industry is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring staff or relevant supervisory roles is important.
Knowledge of lifeguard safety, aquatic event management, and water safety is beneficial.
Ability to work independently with initiative, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills is essential.
The most important trait is a passion for leisure, coupled with a drive to succeed and expand the learn-to-swim programme.
